It’s that time of the year again – when the world’s leading players in all things mobile head to Barcelona, Spain for Mobile World Congress. And Bigtincan is there meeting with customers, channel partners and many of the vendors exhibiting their wares at the show.
This year, the early trend seems to be all about how 5G mobile could reshape the world and the role that different technology platforms will play in that future. As usual, MWC also features a slew of new phone announcements, and this year is no different, with new devices from LG, Sony, Lenovo, Huawai, and others hitting the stands.
But the show is also providing a pointer toward where the sales enablement market will go in the coming years. One only has to spend a few minutes at a MWC booth that is touting a new phone or tablet and ask about how it will impact business users – and the answer is always centered around empowering sales teams.
The smartphone is not only getting smarter, it’s getting faster and more computer-like. As that trend continues, sales teams will expect more from their phones and tablets, and at Bigtincan we see that as the critical need we’re working to address. So expect to see us accelerate our plans to keep at the leading edge of capabilities that help sales and service executives win more deals and be more productive inside and outside the office.
As the show goes on, we will post more here about MWC 2017 – including what we’re seeing and what we’re learning about how the world is changing for sales and service teams, thanks to these new developments in mobility.
